Here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, we are all still digging ourselves out of the snow but today showed promise with rain and a hint of sunshine later in the afternoon.
All of the main roads are clear and safe for driving so we can go on enjoying all of the wonderful things the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Whether it's local cuisine, musical venues or just going for a relaxing stroll, Sunshine Coasters are out and about and keeping busy after their small taste of cabin fever.
The hillside in Grantham's Landing is dotted with charming homes, with the majestic mountains in the background. Small fishing vessels and private boaters were seen out for the first time in days. After such a quiet few weeks, it's nice to see the charm of the coast again without so much white stuff and everyone is smiling in the streets.
For the more adventurous, the 15th annual Polar Boar Plunge took place at the Gibsons Pigs Rugby clubhouse at Armours Beach on January 1st. First was the parade to the beach at 11:15am, followed by a group photo and the official plunge at 11:30am. Participants then picked up their certificates for Polar Boars, followed by refreshments and a welcoming bowl of homemade soup and prizes.
